Our most popular steel shutter - this model is suitable for commercial and industrial properties: factories, warehouses, loading bays or when secure closures are required.

They are available with a standard galvanised finish or plastisol, powder coated to BS or RAL colours (additional charges may apply).

Depending on the size of the door, the roller shutter can operate manually (push-up or with a chain) or, electrically.

Curtains
Manufactured 60mm, 75mm or 100mm hot dipped galvanised steel interlocking laths with end locks to prevent lateral movement.

Gauge of material, 0.6mm, 0.7mm, 0.9mm & 1.2mm.

Bottom Rail
Strong roll formed 1.6mm thick bottom rail is fitted to the bottom of the curtain (standard roller door). On an insulated door an extruded plastic seal is fitted.

Roller
A heavy duty seamless tube.

Guides
Heavy mild steel roller angle and folded steel channel guides are bolted to roller plates and the structure of the building.

Operation
Endless hand chain, sprockets and chain gearing.

Finish
Galvanised, plastisol or powder coated.

Motor
Tubular or outboard [240v or 440v] geared motor with integral limit switch to govern shutter travel. Normal speed of 10s/mtr. (Speeds can be adjusted at additional costs.)

Starter
3 station control (up, down & stop) reversing contactor starter.

Limits
If a wicket door is fitted in the shutter, a micro limit switch is inserted in the circuitry to stop the door working whilst the wicket door is in the closed position.

Wiring
Conduit and cable from the mains supply point brought up (by others) to a point within 1mtr of the crank handle geared side of the opening. Electric earth bonding is to be done (by others).

Hand chain operation is retained for use in an emergency.
